Meet Joe, the Managing Partner, CIO and Tech Guru of Ideal Technologys, LLC, a distinguished provider of Managed IT Services in the Greater Tampa Bay Area. Joe has an impressive 27 years of experience in the field, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table.
Joe’s journey into the world of technology commenced over three decades ago during his service as a Communications Engineer in the Army. Post-military service, he embarked on a remarkable career path that led him to HCA, where he played a pivotal role as the Director of Technical Services in the TriStar and West Florida Divisions. Here, he was instrumental in transitioning to an ITIL-based IT support model and consolidating individual hospitals into a cohesive unit at the Division level, seamlessly integrating with the corporate IT team.
Joe’s diverse experience also includes a stint at the Plato Academy Charter School, where he strategically planned, executed, and managed the technical infrastructure, driving EdTech initiatives across nine locations in Pasco, Pinellas, and Hillsborough counties in Florida. He has also held positions such as Director of Product Management at a high-end digital signage company, Manager of Operations at a local IT Managed Services firm, and COO for a medical billing company.
In a bold entrepreneurial move, Joe co-founded Ideal Technologys, LLC, alongside Scott Dollar, assuming the role of CIO. Together, they deliver top-tier Project Management, Strategic Foresight, Technology Roadmaps, and IT managed services. Their mission revolves around solving problems by becoming trusted technology partners within small to medium-sized businesses, fostering innovation and growth.
Beyond his impressive professional journey, Joe is a dedicated family man with four grown children—Isaac, Eden, Tommi, and Vanessa. Recently, he joyously embraced grandfatherhood when Eden welcomed baby Selah into the world. In his leisure time, Joe’s affinity for water draws him near, whether he’s unwinding in his hammock amidst mangrove trees or kayaking the bay in North Saint Petersburg. With his extensive experience and unwavering commitment to both technology and family, Joe stands as a dynamic leader who excels in both his personal and professional endeavors.
